If you did not get anyone to "follow" you, then no one will see your
posts (or About messages).

I will send you an invite to my node by gmail (which is secure enough
for government work).  Enter that invite into Patchwork, and it will
make my node auto-follow you, and I (and my scuttlebutt friends) will
start replicating (and be able to see) your posts.
