If you have a reasonably static public IP (e.g. Cox Cable Home is not
static, but only changes when they reboot their cable plant - about once
a year), then you can sign up with he.net tunnel broker to get an ICANN
IP6.  (And they have a very nice "certification" program which is
actually an effective IP6 tutorial.  If you obtain Guru certification,
you get free DNS service from he.net.)

For a laptop, your best bet is cjdns - or else setup he.net at home, and
then use openvpn to connect your laptop to home.  This will of course
require something open for your home router.

Connecting to chantilly-mesh gets you a private IP6 on the mesh.  :-)
