This is a good article by Deal Hudson.

It starts off mentioning the situation in Canada and
then goes into Senator Kennedy's legislation (and the
House companion bill) in Congress.

I'm opposed to ANY kind of Hate Crimes Law.

It doesn't matter if someone hits me over the head and
knocks me unconscious because he wants to steal my
money or because he doesn't like the color of my skin.

The crime is the SAME. The victim suffered the SAME
result. The motivation of the criminal should be
irrelevant.

Hate crimes legislation is not concerned with the
ACTION. It is concerned with the THOUGHTS of the
persons who commit the actions.

We should repeal ALL Hate Crime laws. We certainly
should NOT be expanding the laws by adding
homosexuals, or anyone else, to it.
