Sorry for the delayed reply ... I've been spending most of my time writing
my thesis :-(
I would pass stuff on to that guy, but I only really see him in passing
every few months, and he's not fixed in a certain area in the hospital. In
the discussion, I did point out that a lot of the things he said about
Catholic teaching were based on misconceptions, but he clearly believed his
pastor more than me, and wasn't particularly interested in hearing my
arguments - he wanted to tell me I was wrong, not hear why that wasn't what
I believed. For people like that, who are fixed in their views, prayer is
the only solution.
